About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to proclaim God in Word, Deed, and Power.

Although there are a number of things we could write about in the discussion of our church life, our most important concern is to introduce the people we meet to our Lord Jesus Christ and help them grow in their relationship with Him.

If you have never experienced Christ in your life in a personal way, here are the A-B-C's of becoming a Christian:

Something to Admit - We are sinners!

Each one of us has inherited a selfish, sinful nature that brings about attitudes and actions that are offensive to God (Mark 7:20-23; Jeremiah 17:9). Since He is just and holy - without the slightest imperfection - we can never be "good enough" to deserve a close relationship with him. In fact, it is impossible to earn God's approval and experience intimate fellowship with him on the basis of personal effort, even if our efforts are religious or humanitarian in nature (e.g., churchgoing, helping the poor, praying regularly, etc.). The good news is that Jesus Christ did not leave us in our helpless condition, for He did something for us that we could not do for ourselves (Romans 5:6-8)

Something to Believe - Jesus died and rose again for us!

The Bible tells us that there is a just penalty that must be paid for sin, and that penalty is death (Romans 6:23). Our sin has caused a rift to occur between ourselves and God (Isaiah 59:2). But Jesus, who encountered the same temptations that we experience, was not guilty of wrongdoing. He stands alone as the only person in history to live a completely sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). Therefore, when He died on the cross, it was not to provide forgiveness for His own sins (for He had none to forgive), but it was for us, so that we could enjoy the benefits of fellowship with God (Galatians 1:4). Jesus is no longer in the grave! He is alive today! His resurrection from the dead is absolute proof that He is the Son of God and that the sin barrier is forever removed for those who believe. Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth and has full authority to forgive our sins and grant us the gift of eternal life (John 3:16; I John 5:11-12).

Something to Confess -He is Lord of our lives!

Why not turn your life over to Jesus Christ today? This decision involves both faith (surrendering yourself to Him as your Lord and Savior), and repentance (a willingness to turn away from those things which are contrary to God's will). The Bible uses such terms as being "born again" and becoming a "new creation" to describe the incredible changes that come about when we genuinely come to know the Lord (John 3:1-7; II Corinthians 5:17). Through the power of the indwelling Christ, you can fulfill the purpose for which God created you and live your life in such a way that will please Him. The Lord loves you and wants to stand by your side in each and every situation, beginning today and lasting throughout all eternity.
